In April 2014, Eric Mulholland achieved a long held ambition to go to The Augusta Masters – as a spectator!
“When I saw the miniature Masters putter, it struck me that that it would make a desirable and fun trophy for the Turnhouse 8.30 members and be a long lasting souvenir of my trip.”
The competition will mirror the fun par 3 contest the pros play on the Augusta Par 3 Course on the Wednesday before the Masters. Played for at the annual 8.30 Autumn Tour, the winner of the Masters Putter will be the member with the most stableford points accumulated on only the par 3 holes over the two rounds.
The winner of the Mr Golf Trophy is excluded and in the event of a tie, the player with the higher/est national handicap (including decimal points) wins.
